While walking down a pavement today, I was sure I could see a red car coming towards me in the distance (not actually very far away). The path took me almost into a cul-de-sac, and then back towards the main road, but as I was anticipating the noise of the red car I realised the road was empty. I looked behind and couldn't see any moving vehicles.
I am sure there is a logical explanation but it made me think of some threads I have seen on here about time slips.
