Covid - Entry requirements in the US

Instead of vaccine, you can get in if you've tested positive and have a letter from a healthcare professional saying you're off isolation. Has anyone requested such a letter before?

Although I had 2 vaccines I'm having trouble with getting the certificate, and since I've just tested positive, thought this would be a nice alternative way

TIA

Are you a US citizen or LPR?

The documentation of recovery from covid 19 exempts you from providing a negative covid test NOT an exemption from proving vaccination status.

Not a US citizen. Yes, you're right I'm getting confused!
