I'm a knob head

We have been having issues with broadband. So not been able to watch telly etc
I bought a DVD player , set it up today. Telly wouldn't switch on. Tried new batteries, fuse in plug. Was an old telly , 15 yrs old.
So to me it was dead.
Went on Argos, purchased a new telly. Arrives in about an hour.
Just moved old telly and found an on/off switch hidden. I must of pressed it when moving it around to connect DVD player 🤦🏻‍♀️
New telly sings and dances , where old telly I could only watch now tv on it and had to use laptop for Netflix etc.
I can now watch all on the new one when I arrives.
I'm 44. Technically brain dead.
Feel such a knob head
My mates are pissing themselves laughing at me.
Do I tell the husband that I'm a knob or deny all knowledge. He won't check to old one .

We got a new TV last year... Thought if Covid had us stuck in I was gonna embrace it!! First time I had ever bought a new TV. I was 49!!

He's just come home early , picked up old telly and taken it to the tip ! No questions asked . Phew 😥

Problem now being. If I couldn't figure out a telly with a hidden switch how do I figure out a voice activated telly?
Borrow nexts doors 4 year old?

I would admit to being a knob then show him how amazing the new TV is. Ask if he wants to sell the old one or take it to the tip!

Usually The Man at The Tip keep decent stuff aside and give them away.. At ours anyway...

Chill your boots. I admitted I was a knob head. He's put it back in the dining room and has finally given in that I can have a telly in the bedroom . Also managed to set the new one up with out the help of a child

Forgot to add told him before he took it as I've worded my last post wrong . But anyways

We have a clever voice activated remote control with minimum buttons on.......I use the other remote control with loads of buttons and no fancy features....the kids call it 'the old person remote'.....works for me!!

Been a week.
It's been advertised free
No one wants it as it's only a 28"
It's not a smart telly
And has a 'back' to it
I'm like really??
So it's gone to the tip today.
