I start a new job on Monday and the role is working from home. I've got my phone, laptop & login and obviously have an idea of the role based on job description & interviews, but 8:30 Monday I'll be at my desk and ready but not the foggiest what to actually do

Should I email today and ask if there's a plan for day 1? I've got a fantastic induction week planned the following week but can't twiddle my thumbs until then! This is a newly created role and not something I've done before (which they know) & whilst I have plenty of ideas I want to implement, it's those initial few days I'm unsure about.
