Just checking because I can't find it on the NHS website, it just says its a normal childhood illness that lasts 7-10 days. Anyone know how long you need to stay home for with suspected HFM?

15mth DS has three small spots near and around his mouth and one mouth ulser. So could be the beggings of HFM or could be nothing bviously can't get through to GP or 111 for any advice 😵

Is it like chicken pox where you have to stay in stay in or is it OK to pop put for fresh air/to the chemist etc.

He doesn't go to formal childcare so I can't ask them if they have a normal policy either.

As far as I know there is no quarantine for HFM. Our nursery said keep them at home if they are actually poorly, temperature or in pain, but beyond that they are fine to be out and attend

Thank you, he seems fine in himself I just wasn't sure if it was one you have to be more careful with
