Halloween at Thorpe Park or Chessington

Has anyone done this before and how far in advance did you book tickets?

Dd and her friends wanted to go but looks like it’s sold out at both theme parks 😢

Chessington was showing some ‘late entry’ tickets ie - after 2pm - but they’ve gone now.

Wondering if any more tickets might be released or people cancel?

Does age make a difference?

Its one of the busiest times of the year and with only a few days to go I'm not surprised they're sold out!

bubblicious3 · 28/10/2021 18:49

My kids went to Thorpe (separately) last Friday and Monday and it was a nightmare. Both days they were there about 6 hours and only got on 3 rides. I'd give it a miss

Oh no @bubblicious3 the admission isn’t cheap!

Went to Chessington today and it was hideous. Arrived at ten on the dot and only managed two rides (left at 5). Waited 2 hours for Vampire ride only for it to break down when we were next to go on. It’s put me off ever going again. We pre booked a month ago for DD’s birthday but they were selling tickets at gate. Seriously over capacity imo.

bendmeoverbackwards · 28/10/2021 22:23

Wow I had no idea, I thought they’d have a great time. @Inneedofaholiday I’m sorry, your experience sounds awful. Your poor dd, I hope she managed to enjoy some of it.

Thorpe ark gets a bit rough at night times when it’s fight night.
I think they are a bit young unless they are with an adult.

We did chessington on Monday. Each queue was between an hour and an hour and half. We did 3 rides between 11- 5 pm. Then it thinned out and could do bumper cars and swings several times in the last hour. I wouldn't bother again. If you are in the area paultons is much better.

I live near Thorpe Park, lots of posts on FB asking for Fright Night tickets.
