If you send a letter with a slightly wrong postcode....Will it get there?

Along the lines of AA16 4RR when it should have been AA6 4RR

Yes - it should do though it may be delayed. It will also depend on whether the postcode you've used actually exists and whether there's a similar road name in that postcode.

It should do I have sent my first line of address but my mums post code. Same city. It arrived.

ChicCroissant · 27/10/2021 21:54

It might do if the local postman recognises the street name, otherwise I'd think that AA6 is some distance from AA16 so maybe not. Is there a road with the same name in AA16?

Yes, my grandmother wrote my postcode down incorrectly 5 years ago, and despite been given the correct one several times since, always seems to revert back to the original notebook. Birthday cards etc. still arrived, sometimes a week late or with someone else's corrections, but they all seem to make it.

I’ve done this. Took a couple of extra days but it got there
