DD's Awkward age for activities.

I'm feeling quite sad that my DD (10 next week) will be too old to go to play centres soon.

The other week we took her and my DSD (8) to a play centre and they were really funny about letting my DD in for the session, it's something they have both loved to do up to now for some time at weekends and during half term. They measured her height and just seemed generally snooty about letting her in. It made me feel really sad.

FYI my DD is very tall and looks older for her age (think 11-12 years for a 9 year old).

I know she's growing up, and we are at the point where her step sister will still want to go but she is slowly growing out of it.

What other ideas for time passing could anyone suggest? Does anyone else have DDs that are just starting to grow out of the play centre phase?

Clip n Climb and trampoline parks seem to be the next step up from soft play.

I take mine (7 & 11) swimming, bowling or to the cinema too. Ice skating?
