Any overweight, menopausal women who have changed their weight, body shape, life with a personal trainer?

I've done every diet under the sun. I've also had 2 personal trainers before and had no results (I feel as tho the trainers I had did not understand the issues of menopause and hormones).
In fact I put weight on with one personal trainer because he said I was starving myself

Has anyone had success if losing saying 2 stone + ?
Looking for experiences from older women please.

I’m 52 and only seem to weight by eating quite a bit less but keeping my protein intake high. Exercise doesn’t seem to make any difference to my weight.

I'm nearly 51 and have haven't lost 2 stone (not trying to) probably 7lbs but look noticeably more toned and feel much stronger too. My posture is better as I've strengthened my core muscles. It's taken about 18 months of training 2 or 3 times a week plus running 2 or 3 times a week too. I've upped my protein considerably and find I'm not craving lots of carbs therefore eat less.

I'm 56 and lost 3 1/2 stone in a year but that was by reducing portion size, especially the carbs and cutting out breakfast. I've maintained my weight now for 3 months by weighing weekly and reducing what I eat if I've gained. I swam once a week when we weren't in lockdown and usually do a Pilates and a ballet class once a week. No personal trainer involved as I don't like being told what to do!

Yup me. Started with a PT 18 months ago who has been really motivational and supportive.

Lost 2 stone of menopausal flab, mostly around my middle, with intermittent fasting.

Am fit, toned and strong now as a result of weekly PT sessions incorporating mostly weight training - building muscle is so important as we age, and helps bone density too. I use the gym 2-3 times a week too, as well as running and yoga.

I feel like a new woman.
