How do you avoid interview burnout?

I was made redundant a month ago. I took the first week of my gardening leave to move house and the second to properly start job hunting (about 3 weeks ago, I'm on my 4th week...) 40 applications, which resulted in interviews at 8 different companies. 20% seems like a good rate, and considering many take more than a couple of days to reply back, I think I'll probably get another interview. That translates to 12 interviews, between screenings, different stages, etc...I still have another stage to go for one of those companies, and my first interview with another. But now I feel completely drained. I've only had 3 rejections, and the uncertainty is killing me! I just want a job that pays enough at this point.

I dont know. It sounds tough. I guess you can only fake it until you make it. Good luck.

have you already done 12 interviews or do you have 12 interviews to go? If you’ve already done twelve interviews I think you’ve done the hard bit. You just need to distract yourself until the replies start filtering though.

I've done 12 already (that counts all the different stages though). So of 8 companies, I've had 3 rejections, 2 awaiting final decision, 2 awaiting next steps (so even more interviews!), and one first interview next week.
