Positive LFT, feeling sorry for myself.

Just that really.

Came to bed at 7pm because I wasn’t feeling right. By 9pm I had a strange cough, sore chest and headache so took a LFT in the absence of a PCR and it’s positive. PCR booked for the morning.

Live alone so very scared I’ll be very poorly with nobody around me, and sad because my children were due home from their dads tomorrow and now I am potentially not seeing them for almost two weeks

Have you been vaccinated OP? If so, you'll probably not get as poorly as you may have done. Make sure you get people to drop off anything you need, drink plenty of fluids and take paracetamol. Hope you feel better soon.

Hopefully you won’t feel too ill. Try and think of lots of time resting and watching box sets. It is rubbish though x

My head and chest are so sore, it’s really strange. I don’t think I even have a temperature, hopefully this is as bad as it gets.

MIL lives alone and got it. She took things slowly, slept lots, had friends drop things off. She was fine.

Make sure you ring people if you feel lonely.

Can you video call your DC?

Hi op, this is my second time around, this time dble vac, really horrible head cold, shivers and a bit of a cough, so far. Certainly very different from my previous bout last year. Take care, lots of meds, fluids and rest. X
