Does anyone have one? Are they worth the ££££? Thanks in advance.

I do not have one but my friend does and loves it

I would really like one but i want to see them in real life and I don’t think they have a showroom

I’m gonna lurk here and see what other people come up with 🎄

Yes, that's the problem, not being able to see them in real life. It'll be a right pain to return it if I don't think it's worth the money.

I bought a flat back one a few years back for the kitchen. I like it. Easy to put up. Well made. Good quality storage bags. I did get it in the sale though otherwise they're are a fair few pennies.

I’ve had mine for 5 years now. I think it was about £300 ish in the sale. It looks great and compared to the cost of 5 years worth of real trees, has probably paid for itself.

Morgan12 · 26/10/2021 21:05

The nicest tree I've ever seen was in B&Q and was around £200ish. Not sure how this compares in price?

Soyouthought · 26/10/2021 21:09

Mines alright. I specifically wanted a slim one for the space and this one hit the mark but I’m not really wowed by it.

RufustheBadgeringReindeer · 26/10/2021 21:22

My existing tree is 31 years old this year

I still get compliments about it every year…so I’m a little wary of not being able to find one as nice. Its very large in diameter

BurnedToast · 26/10/2021 22:34

We have one , I think we got it in the sales. It's very good and we like it as it's a perfect size for the room. We saw some in B and Q last year which were just as good.

butterflyfox · 26/10/2021 22:43

I do. Mine is ten years old. Def worth it. Still a bit ashamed to have a fake tree but it looks really nice. Not in the same league as any other fake tree I have ever seen. And I read somewhere that after 10 years you tip the scales to being more environmentally friendly than 10 years of real trees so I feel a little better. It is also pre lit. The hours of my life that I dont spend untangling Christmas lights every year.

poorpaws · 26/10/2021 22:46

Yes I love mine, I’ve had it about 3/4 years now I think

Sorry I can’t find a better photograph, it is much nicer irl.

One thing to add, if you do decide to buy one, once you’ve chosen it leave it in your basket and balsam hill will offer you a further discount to encourage you to buy.

Wow, that looks so elegant. How tall is it and, if you don't mind me asking, what did it cost?

Re Balsam Hill Trees
Just a heads up, we ordered a tree from them on 28 Sep, due to be delivered in 3-5 days.
They sent an email yesterday (28 Oct) saying it’s lost in transit and the one we ordered is now out of stock so they’re issuing a refund - which will take up to 30 days to process.
So effectively they’ve had several hundred pounds for 2 months and not delivered anything.
Absolutely appalling service, no apology, and the company only chased up the non-delivery after they asked me to review the (non-existent) tree.
