Quick advice needed if possible 🙏 15 month old has been sick today. First time this has happened and I'm a FTM. Started with a fever and cold symptoms yesterday followed by one episode of vomiting this afternoon. Vomiting has stopped an hour ago and dc seems ok but under the weather. Temperature has come down.

I made a plain dinner but not surprising dc wasn't hungry. Can I offer a milk bottle before bed or is it best avoided? I reckon bed time might be around 7.

Thank you!

Smart water

More electrolytes than dioralyte and much easier to tolerate

You could try milk but be prepared for it to come back up again

Ice pops are great for getting some fluid in them when they’re throwing up. Also great for sore throats and getting fluid in them

Ok thanks. No time to get smart water. So you still think that even though vomiting was at 5pm we shouldn't risk it?

I'd try to get some fluid I him. Probably not milk though. Dairy is quite harsh on the tummy when you are sick..

We do really weak dilute. Although my eldest always went off everything (food and drink wise) so all bets were off. I'd let him drink whatever he wanted / fancied. Luckily have a shop across the road so one of us could run out for supplies.
