Am I in labour?

I’m 32 weeks yesterday, I noticed a crampy feeling yesterday which has steadily got worse to now. I went to hospital earlier and they said “come back if your doubled over in pain” but didn’t seem to think it was early labour.

The crampy feeling is constant and is now taking over my whole bump not jsut the bottom left of my lower abdomen as it was yesterday and I’m feeling really uncomfortable. no change in discharge or no waves of contractions just a constant ache in my tummy with some shooting pains which is steadily getting worse.

Is this normal? Or is this a sign I’m going into preterm labour?

It sounds like braxton hicks contractions. Perfectly normal and eased by staying hydrated.
Please see your midwife again though if you are concerned

HerRoyalWitchyness · 26/10/2021 17:36

Could be braxton hicks but if you're concerned definitely speak to your midwife again, they're there to help and won't be annoyed with you getting checked over. Better safe than sorry

Thank you @HerRoyalWitchyness and @NewLifePending ❤️ Is it normal for them to be constant? I thought it was supposed to be off and on is why I’m worried. It’s my first baby so I am freakkkinfgf 😂

Mine where pretty constant and my midwife said dehydration makes them worse. Try a couple of glasses of water and see how they feel.
Please go in though if you are worried

How are you feeling @ChristmasBabi after drinking plenty? Is baby moving around as normal?

ChristmasBabi · 26/10/2021 20:57

@NewLifePending baby moving plenty and the cramp around my bump has defffo gone off now! Just got the sharp pain in my lower left side still I’m hoping that is nerve pain or ligaments as that’s the one that’s stuck through it all. God this pregancy malarky is stressful isn’t it 😂

@ChristmasBabi it is! I wouldn’t do it again 😂

ChristmasBabi · 26/10/2021 21:18

I don’t think I would after this and I’ve still got labour to experience 😂 pray for me.

Thank you for the help too ❤️ @NewLifePending
