I'm drawing a mental blank, so calling on the collective wisdom here!
My friend (late 40s) is going on a trip to Canada in the middle of winter (Jan), and it's her birthday next week. I want to get her something that will be useful for her trip as a present, but I'm drawing a blank.
She doesn't need luggage-related stuff (make up bag etc), so that's out. I was thinking a really nice warm hat, but haven't been able to find anything inspiring. I'm sure she has loads of warm scarves, so don't really want to go down that route. What else is useful in the cold? What would you treat yourself to on a long-haul trip to a cold country? I can't think of anything specifically related to Canada (not that it needs to be be really...)
Which avenues am I not exploring? What shall I buy?!
