Puppy trouble ...advice please

Hi we got a 10 week old baby two days ago.
My partner was away so I went and collected him.
The thing is now he is so attached to me.
If I leave the room he cries
My partner loves him and makes a fuss of him but still he looks /cries for me.
What do you recommend ?
I want the pup to be as close to both of us not just me.

Put whatever your partner has been wearing (tshirt/sweatshirt/shirt) in with your puppy at night so that they can get your partners scent. Partner feed puppy also, play give treats etc whilst you go and do other stuff

Take it in turns to feed, take for toileting etc. Our pup was definitely more attached to me fir a while. He's now 1 and his favourite person changes from day to day

Bit of desensitising with not wanting you all the time, build up the time, also re:fireworks, start playing Youtube videos of fireworks at intermittent times so that Pupster gets used to the noise and is less scared when it comes to bonfire night, keep up the videos until next year

Hand feed him. Both of you equally.

Ditch the bowl. Measure out his food and space out during the day as “ rewards “ for every behaviour you want to encourage. Not only toilet training but turning to name , coming to you ( without being asked - just make being within arms reach a tasty Experience) pop some in his crate for him to find et. Etc.

We had the same - kids and husband wanted dog (I’m not a massive dog fan), dog likes me the best.. tried everything.
Bloody annoying especially as my cat gets pushed out.
