My daughter is pestering big time to host a party. She is 18. I am determined not to, for lots of obvious reasons.....
What is the worst thing that happened at your teenagers parties? I need ammunition.

My 18th was very tame in comparison to most of these. My parents hired the function hall of a local pub, we had nibbles, dad made a low alcohol punch (but there was also the bar). Had some music, everyone behaved ... luckily parents stayed in the pub. My brother still hasn't forgiven me for not inviting him.... he was only 14 !!!!!!

Tractor in the swimming pool. No ma’am back from that one. House was pretty trashed. It was heartbreaking and that was as a party attendee

We went on holiday, DS stayed at home and said he was having a few people round - fine.
We came back to find the floor of the laundry room and downstairs toilet swimming in beer.
The glass door of the cooker was smashed and the actual cooker had been pulled off the wall and was lurching forward.
There was a 10cm dent in the dining room wall (looked like someone had kicked the wall).
It was incredibly upsetting. DS was 20 at the time and we'd thought he was mature enough to handle having a few friends round. Obviously not ☹️

We recently had my DD’s 18th at home. Not a stealth brag but we’re lucky to have a big house, so the 25 kids were confined to two rooms and the kitchen. We also put a small marquee up outside the kitchen and inside that placed all the drinks and some garden furniture. That massively reduced spillages inside and in my opinion, stopped them drinking loads, as they had to keep going outside to get a drink.
About 16 stayed the night; told them all to bring their own bedding which many did. I just threw fleece blankets and pillows in a pile on the floor, along with air beds and yoga mats. I gave every single guest a bottle of water when they all started turning in for the night. They all slept in together.
The kids were all brilliant; no fights, no breakages, no damage. One girl was sick and I had to mop the toilet floor but the others were fine. I did cook pizzas and sausage rolls throughout the night; also bought big trays of doughnuts from Asda. This all helped soak up the booze.
In the morning I did a conveyer belt breakfast of sausages, bread rolls and hash browns. Everyone ate and everyone was gone home by midday.
We reckon we had more alcohol left than was drunk.
I think we were very lucky but we had our eyes and ears open all night. No way would I have left them on their own.

At my nephew’s 18th, a lad drank so much he became unconscious. Ended up in hospital for 5 days. Several others were so drunk that they collapsed, vomited etc. One lad wet himself. I spent the whole evening cleaning up inebriated teens at that party. No damage to the house though.

My brother had a week long party when he was left at home when we went on holiday when he was about 17, I was about 11. The house was immaculate when we got back... on the surface.
Until my Dad realised that the smashed wall we drove past on our way into the estate had been caused by a teen stealing his car and drink driving it and crashing into said wall. Bathroom wrecked. Smell of puke everywhere. Neighbours said there had been teens turning up at all hours all week. Police came about the car later that day. My brother stayed away for about 3 days.
We had one at my friends house and nothing too bad happened, a few were sick, we drunk some of her dad's expensive wines and smoked in the house... but think that is probably par for the course as teen parties go.
My son hasn't had one at home yet though- unlucky for him we are boring and don't often both go out at night at the same time so he hasn't had chance!
