DLA waiting 21

Hi guys

I was hoping someone could help me, I’ve been waiting 8 weeks on a decision from the DLA and have received a sorry we haven’t dealt with your claim yet letter.

How long after this did anyone get an outcome?
It’s been a stressful wait and it’s doing nothing for anxiety.

Hi did you get your decision yet? I rung yesterday and they are saying it's taking between 9 and 12 weeks. I'm only on week 7 but didnt realise you shouldnt really ring until it had been 8 weeks lol x

Hi, yeah I got my decision on Monday afternoon it took 9 weeks in total x

There's a good facebook group on PIP which also has parents and carers on it as well as adult claimants, been a lifesaver for me. Seems 8 weeks is normal.
