Dust allergy - how do you keep your environment dust free?

Hey guys,

Looking for some advice. I’m beginning to think my baby’s eczema is worse due to dust, especially now that he’s getting on the sofa his face has flare up quite bad. He’s only had very mild eczema on his face before. How do you keep on top of everything?

I have carpet in the bedroom, but he doesn’t really go on the bedroom floor so I’m not too worried about this. The sofa is unfortunately fabric though. Husband doesn’t want to get rid of the sofa, but I need to find a way to keep it dust free. Will I need to keep a cotton throw on top and steam clean the sofa regularly?

What do you guys do to keep your environment dust free and how often do you do it?

I’m a desperate mum looking for some help to provide relief to my baby. He uses steroids when the eczema’s bad, but it comes back when we stop and I now believe this may be due to dust.
