Terrified of 20 week scan

I'm having my 20 week scan and I'm absolutely terrified. Convinced myself that something will be wrong. Can't share with DH as he's having a bad flare up of Crohn's so that's not helping either. I'm 39yr so I've read all the stats about what can go wrong. That didn't help.

It's really hard isn't it. I didn't know until I was diagnosed after I'd actually had my baby of PERI natal anxiety. Everyone knows about post natal but it can happen when you're pregnant as well.

It is normal to be scared of scans though so I'm not automatically suggesting you have anxiety. You're carrying the most precious thing to you in the world you're bound to feel scared of what could go wrong , however unlikely. However if you do feel that it's getting too much in general do speak to your midwife about anxiety as it is most certainly something people struggle with both during and after pregnancy.

You're absolutely right I do suffer from anxiety.
I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
