Spotting during ovulation - a bad sign for fertility?

I’ve randomly started getting spotting around ovulation. A tiny bit on the paper, that’s it.

It’s happened 3 months this year, randomly. Never before.

I’m panicking that this is a sign of declining fertility or menopause or something bad. I’ve never had it before? Why would it suddenly happen? I did go for a check after the first time it happened and scan said it was fine and it can happen. But it’s never happened before. Just worrying I guess. Anyone else had similar?

It happened to me for four months this year, first time ever, and I got pregnant one of the months.

I didn’t get a scan or anything - my doctor just said that it happens sometimes.

I've never heard it being referred to as a sign of poor fertility? Wondering where you got that from. I started getting spotting during ovulation after I got an IUD fitted. I didn't see it as a sign of something wrong as the doctor told me some women do spot during ovulation anyway.

It’s just the egg being released. Please chill out

I thought the spotting happened because when the egg bursts out of the ovary it causes a tiny amount of bleeding. Then sometimes you see that blood when the egg comes out of you. I heard it's just one of those things that can happen at ovulation.

Don't be so flippant and dismissive, FFS. She's obviously worried and looking for reassurance.
