Except not really.
Colombia is experiencing a high level of civil unrest after the pandemic highlighted already glaring inequalities. Nabbing a known murderer/rapist/trafficker who no one likes anyway isn't going to solve this. It's phoney trophyism and is only being paraded around the global north because people there get a wee winkle twitch about anything to do with drugs despite it being a grinding grey subject for this particular supplier/producer country. AIBU to think that if the world is going to hear stories about Colombia they should be stories about what's happening there ie an uprising against corruption, rather than yet another bloody drugs story?
