Due to various grandparents becoming ill, we are suddenly short of childcare this half-term holiday. There is one day in particular that we are struggling to cover.
Both DH and I work from home but will have periods of time when we can't be interrupted (baring real emergencies).
I was thinking of seeing if there is a local teenager who would be interested in a day's pay to essentially come and play with DS, age 5. I'm not looking for anything too fancy- a bit of Lego, a bit of hot wheels, charging around the garden, even some time on Minecraft.
As I said, DH and I will be around and able to take breaks from time to time to check everything is ok.
Is this an ok plan? What would be a reasonable hourly rate? We are in rural East Anglia.
