Talking to MIL today and it’s become apparent how overwhelming she finds messaging and her need to reply instantly. She also send very long replies with perfect grammar and it seems more like a lovingly crafted letter.
She needs to get some stuff done so I suggested she messaged everyone saying she would not be answering messages for a couple of days as busy so not to worry, she is 79 and lives alone so I can see why people may worry, she seemed to get quite fretful about appearing rude doing this.
I do not constantly check my phone and neither does DH, I check messages a couple of times a day. I just wondered how much people let messaging interrupt their lives.
