Or someone you know?

We have spotted my car parked up at work and also friends walking out of school with their kids (faces obscured obv but definitely them) on there.

@Bigeggsinapackoften

My mum gardening. She’s dead and I’ll be upset when they update the picture.

Could you screenshot it on your phone? A bit random, I know, but means you would always have it even when it does get updated.

My friend found me back in 2010 I'm long gone now but it was 100% me I was with my dog 😂! There's some really nice stories out there like this though eg someone's gran died and they went to look at her house on street view and saw her on the porch 🥰

Moonflower12 · 24/10/2021 11:24

My DS walking home from school, in full 'Kevin' mode, dragging his school bag etc. It always makes me laugh, as he is now a mature mid-20s man.

crankysaurus · 24/10/2021 11:27

Yep, I'm on an older set of photos walking the kids to the school gate. They both look very unenthusiastic!

bubblegumunicorn · 24/10/2021 11:27

@TheGirlInTheGreenDress

Yep, you can see me in my dining room working from home!
Shock that's a big invasion of privacy surprised they didn't blur the whole room out
BunTooti · 24/10/2021 11:32

Yes! This thread just inspired me to check, a Google car drove past me about 5 months ago...there I am, lugging my shopping. I feel famous Grin

whiskersonkittenss · 24/10/2021 11:36

Not me but my grandad. He was stood on the grass outside his ground floor flat. He died a couple of years ago so it's nice to see him there

takingmytimeonmyride · 24/10/2021 11:37

Yes, twice. In 2009 I was walking with my youngest 3 on the school run. Then a couple of years ago I was walking with my youngest, again on the school run. They've changed that one already, even though my house a few streets away is still stuck in 2009!

BertiesShoes · 24/10/2021 11:39

Yes, a google van passed my friend and I when cycling in the early summer.

I checked recently and I am in the picture, but my friend, who was ahead of me, is not, I am not sure why her section hasn’t been uploaded!

Luckily, no one would know it was me, I am not very identifiable with helmet on and face blacked out!

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 24/10/2021 11:44

My parent’s old house from 10 years ago. My Dad is sitting in the garden drinking a cup of tea. He passed away 5 years ago. I’ve screenshot it and it’s such a precious reminder of happy times for me as I’ve got no other photos more than 5 years old!

MorvaanReed · 24/10/2021 11:51

My back view was visible in the playground of our Primary school, dropping DS, off for several years - I'd know that hooded jumper anywhere.

I now work there but I'm not in the current picture, thankfully.

FluffytheGoldfish · 24/10/2021 11:51

Me! Dh and my 2 DDs standing at the lights waiting to cross as the car went up the road. It then turned round and drove back down so caught us just having crossed the road too. So we are are there on both sides of the road!

TreesoftheField · 24/10/2021 11:55

Friends mum sunbathing in bikini in garden 😍

Morporkia · 24/10/2021 12:15

Yes! I’m outside my house and my beloved pup who passed away a couple of years ago is with me

APJ1 · 24/10/2021 12:24

Yes. I saw the Google car go past when I was out walking the dog, so there's one shot of my blurry self on Google Maps looking in the rough direction of the camera. There are two images shots from that time but that one is the most flattering...or least unflattering?!

Geamhradh · 24/10/2021 12:36

Flowers My mum's house has her red car in the drive and the bins out so it was a Monday. She died last year and had a blue car after the red one but I still like looking. My friend can see her dad washing up at his kitchen window.
thatonesmine · 24/10/2021 12:38

My late Dad is on there, peering out of the window at the Google car.

elQuintoConyo · 24/10/2021 13:50

DSis was one checking the postbox outside her house in NZ, then pushing her toddler daughter along the Lees in Folkestone with our GM a month later - brilliant! I'm not on any, thank god!

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 24/10/2021 13:52

Dh is on google at our old house, he was looking at the google car. We rarely got any cars down our little road. My car is in the drive and his was on the road.

SaintVal · 24/10/2021 14:04

I'm not in it but my washing is! So embarrassing - I'm in a flat with a Juliette balcony and mine is the only one with the doors wide open with my drying undies in full view 😆

Betsythecheshirecat · 24/10/2021 14:09

Yep I was gardening and lugging a big trug so it wasn't a great image!

kennythekangaroo · 24/10/2021 14:13

I was looking at it with a class of children once and we spotted one of the boys walking past the school with his mum.
BIL could also be spotted doing roadworks at one point.

Kezzie200 · 24/10/2021 14:21

My husband has! In a lay-by eating lunch. He did see the Google camera go past.

There's also a family walking past out house which is unnerving because they are always there!!

RandomDent · 24/10/2021 14:23

I followed the Google car for about 10 minutes (not stalking, we were going the same way!) but I’m not on the photos they used.

Gertie75 · 24/10/2021 15:00

I love Google maps, I've got a vr headset and using that you feel like you're actually in the street or area you're looking at, it places you at the same height as the camera and to look around you physically move your head, it's very realistic.

I've had a virtual look around Macchu Picchu, walked around New York and regularly check out potential holiday destinations so from the comfort of my settee.
