Amazon Fire tablet, it has strict parental controls and when Ds was young I only put educational games and books on it.

We definitely don't want a tablet. We got amazon fire tablet last year it worked for less than a day. And had issues with refunds etc.

What is your objection to a very locked down kids tablet?

The thing that I'd worry about leapfrog is that it's very expensive and becomes too babyish too quickly.

We had an issue with an Amazon tablet and they resolved it quickly and easily. Tablet is now a year old and works well.

The apps are much better designed and intelligent than a leapfrog.

Our tablet is set so it only works at specific times, it has no free internet access, I can switch it off remotely, I can download apps to target specific issues, I can easily remove apps that don't help or aren't very good.

Now DS is a bit older he has a few games on there too and we don't have any issues with it. Especially when I can remotely turn it off 🧐

I just had to many problems before and prefer not to use a tablet.
