Dc ages 4 and 6. I was crabby yesterday and they were irritating. We're all struggling and fed up. For various reasons I haven't had a day (or an hour even) away from them for weeks. The house is a tip but every time I try to do anything they start squabbling/arguing/crying.

Any ideas of stuff to do? Or how I can "chill out"?

We did crafts yesterday, too ambitious a project. It didn't go well.

TV and screens to save your sanity.

@GoodnightGrandma yess!
All of the screen time and just hide away and eat cake and drink coffee/wine 😂

Honestly, I'd put them in seperate rooms Infront of a screen and with a snack while you sort the house a bit.

If you can afford it order some new bits from Amazon to keep them entertained. Couple of board games, colouful bath foam, Lego.

Thanks all. I seem to have started the last 3 days thinking we'll have a better day and we've all got crankier i think. It's Sunday isn't it (isn't it?? Who knows at the stage ) so I think I'll do what you all suggest , tabket (we only have 1 but they're actually pretty good at turn taking with it). And
send them upstairs with it because even the noise of it is annoying me!

I've been planning a dvd night but we haven't done it yet, I think dvd afternoon is a better idea.

It's bloody hard isn't it and I seem to be feeling a bit sorry for myself.
