Cleaner

I’ve seen a number of threads recently about how difficult it is for people to find reliable and hardworking cleaners. I’ve recently gone back into education and I thought that picking up some work as a cleaner might provide me with extra income.

I have had a small cleaning job before, but that was a very long time ago and it was for a small business, so I’m basically a newbie. I’ve also been out of work for a long time as I was a SAHP. I wanted to ask how would I go about getting work as a cleaner? What are people’s expectations? Also, what would be a fair starting wage? For reference I’m in Edinburgh. Any advice appreciated, thanks.

Maybe I should’ve asked for job ideas for someone studying full time. My only experience is working in an office and a small cleaning job and both were a good number of years ago.
