I bought DS some pasta for his lunch at a train station yesterday as part of a long journey.
'Do you want sauce?'
'No thank you, just plain with a bit of butter please'
'Do you want meat?'
'No, he's had a bit of an upset tummy he just wants it plain, thank you'
handed small pot of plain pasta
'That's £5.80 please'
how many bags of 45p fusilli could I buy with that. It was too late to do anything about it as it was cooked and being handed to me.
Another time me and DH once ordered an omelette from a cafe opposite our house because we didn't fancy cooking. The bill came for two omelettes- £19
