Should you have a CoVID jab of you've had drink the previous evening?

Yes I know it's a stupid question before someone calls me an idiot. 🤣

I am due a CoVID vaccine today, I'd thought it was next Sat until notification came up on my phone. I had two glasses or wine last night and have no idea if I should still go or rearrange. I'm asking because I just honestly don't know.

You should still have it today

I had mine the day after a milestone birthday. If anything the hangover just masked the slightly coldy feeling you sometimes get after Grin

Go

It’s fine. The official advice is that alcohol can affect the efficacy of the vaccine but I shouldn’t think two glasses will make much difference and I doubt many people purposefully avoided alcohol before it. Smile

Two glasses the night before. 6 units of alcohol at most maybe? The alcohol should all be out of your system by the time of your jab.

Have it, it’s fine.

ApolloandDaphne · 23/10/2021 08:18

Of course you should have it. There will be no alcohol in your system by the time you get it.

Thank you folks, I probably generally worry over silly things so this is just another one of those.

I had a drink the night before and then a drink the night I got it as it was on a Saturday.
