Scotland recommendations - West coast/Highlands

Hello wise ones
One of my favourite trips with DH (then DBoyfriend) was to Scotland about 15 years ago ... we lived in mainland europe at the time, and did a trip on the cheap, going all up the west coast, hitting Skye etc.
We're 10 years married next year, and want to go back, but not on the cheap this time, and only for 3 days. Looking for recommendations of a really nice hotel/guest house, near somewhere to get great food, and close to nature/hiking/beautiful landscapes etc.
What are your favourite spots?

If you don’t mind a walk from the car with your Christmas dinner, this is the best place on earth

Isle of Arran

If time of year makes any difference, it will probably be mid-late April

We've just been to Oban, and across to Islay for the first time. Oban has a good selection of restaurants - Ee-Usk was particularly good. We stayed at the Oban Bay hotel which was a bit quirky but overall, very good.

When we went to Islay, we stayed at The Lodge B&B in Port Ellen and it was fantastic. There's not many places in Port Ellen to eat out but the ones we went to were great - The Islay hotel and Sea Salt bistro. The Islay hotel also looked good as a place to stay. But there are so many other great places to stay on the island so you'd be spoilt for choice. And it was a fabulous island to visit - we hired bikes and visited a lovely beach and we also did a bit of the Whisky trail, which was great fun whether you're a super fan (my husband) or not (me!)

The Isle of Mull. We have have stayed in the Isle of Mull Hotel and Spa on the rare occasions when we have been unable to stay with family who live on the island.

I’d fly to Inverness and hire a car. Stay in the city centre but lots of nice hikes within short driving distance. Rocpool Reserve hotel is nice.

Isle of Arran - The Douglas hotel which is in Brodick. All luxury rooms and some have wonderful sea views. Fantastic bar / grill / sea food.

Lochranza - Butt Lodge in The Castle Suite. Overlooking the Sleeping Warrior, and Kilbrannan Sound. Home cooked meals, bring own drinks and a huge lounge.
