I'm looking forward to a week off work with 6yo DS. We have a couple of halloween things planned - a disco and a halloween trail. Going swimming, craft sets etc. I love autumn.

What you all up to?

Going to visit Canterbury. Never been there before, so quite fancy exploring a new place. Your Halloween activities sound fun!

LindaLooky · 22/10/2021 19:10

I've not been either @Bookridden. Read the Tales at school, not sure did it justice Grin

We went out for dinner today at Nandos, for the start of half term. Then next week we are going to see a friend on Tuesday, a messy play session on the Thursday then go to my parents caravan next weekend as there is Halloween activities planned on the site and my sister does a big Halloween party for the family kids on the Sunday.

I have no idea
I was toying with taking them to a trampoline park; there are 4 of them, is going to cost £44 plus socks 😫

LindaLooky · 22/10/2021 22:42

Ouch @batmanladybird, must be tricky with four

I'm not back at work til Thursday now, so we are planning a few bits. Off to the book shop today so that DS1 can spend his book token. Also need to get a few jobs done round the house.

Having a movie night with snacks tonight!
Off to a pumpkin farm on Tuesday and planning to go bowling at some point plus have a dinner out one night. Some long walks with the dog too. Just a chilled, relaxed few days - we all need a rest really.

Off to Legoland for 2 days tomorrow! It’s an early birthday surprise for DD (we’ve told her we are going to a golf shop Grin).

ByeBumpHiBaby · 23/10/2021 09:10

I'm having a baby Grin

Very happy it'll be happening this week when the DC are off - no rushing around on a morning for the school run, planning on getting cabined up as a family and getting to know the newest one.

I feel your pain I have 4 too. My friend went to this farm last week where you can pick pumpkins and there are a few bits added on. I priced up going just me and the children (husband working all week) and it was £91!! They would love it but no way am I paying that!
confusedofengland · 23/10/2021 10:26

Isolating until Monday midnight, thanks corona 😭

Then working, a day in London, afternoon at a seaside theme park place, day pumpkin picking. Evening with friends & afternoon tea with my sisters while DC & DHs go round my parents' house. Then trick or treating on Sunday. Making up for 10 days not leaving the house!

Buddyhobbs · 23/10/2021 10:30

DS has gone off to a football match. I'm going for work with lunch friends, then this evening DS friend and his parents are calling up and were ordering in some pizza.

Tomorrow, we are going for dinner to celebrate my brother qualifying in his field.

Monday, will try to bring DC to see Boss Baby 2.

Tues to Fri I have to work and it will be a busy week Sad. Luckily DS has spotted a book he really wants so it is a cheap way to keep him entertained.

Then on halloween day we are hosting a halloween party.

We're going to the Lake District for a week. I've not been before so really looking forward to it. I think the weather is going to be shit so that's a shame but hopefully it won't spoil it too much.

LindaLooky · 23/10/2021 10:43

Some lovely things in store for everyone but @ByeBumpHiBaby you have planned an unforgettable half term! Good luck next week!

So expensive @Jmaho, are there any free halloween trails near you? I guess you dont need my advice on finding free stuff! Mine loves going out late and looking at any decorated houses. Also loves an alternative to bobbing for apples where you dangle doughnuts from a string and you have to eat it with no hands!

We’re going to the London Bridge experience. Been looking forward to it for weeks. I’m getting ready to lose my voice screaming when the zombies chase us through the tombs 🤣

LindaLooky · 23/10/2021 10:58

Blimey @Dooopy I'd be no use, love zombies but I'd be hysterical! Enjoy!

Googled it @Dooopy. NO!

Swim lesson in an hour, DC are camping downstairs tonight. Might order a pizza. Tomorrow is football then pumpkin picking in the afternoon.

In the week we are going to the cinema, DC2 is having a friend over and halloween party at trampoline place. We will go trick or treating too. That reminds me, I have to get decorations up!

Lj8893 · 23/10/2021 11:10

I’ve been to the London Bridge Experience and it was the single most terrifying moment of my life so far. Good luck.

hettol · 23/10/2021 11:25

I did not enjoy London Bridge thing!

We are off to Warwick castle next weekend to stay over.

trampoline day & maybe cinema

Dooopy · 23/10/2021 11:26

Haha! @LindaLooky @Lj8893
I’m looking forward to it even more now, only because dh will be there for me to hold on to 🤣.

We have calmer things planned too like the RAF museum in London. Looks brilliant, and kids are looking forward to it. It’s free entry, and only pay for the experiences.

LindaLooky · 23/10/2021 12:27

@Itwasgoodwhileitlasted when they camp downstairs do you put a tent up or not? Quite fancy trying an indoor camp!
