That's it really, any words of comfort? I thought I was coping with it well but slipping back into the anxiety again, probably hormonal as period due. I've had it 24/7 for a year now, no cause found after investigations. I have a menagerie of noises. Such an irritating, stressful and tiring condition.

Not surprised that no one wants to talk about tinnitus!

Oh its hellish isnt it!? You have my sympahty op, its relentless at times. Ive had it for less than a year.

I really think you need to have it to understand though so I guess that why not a lot have commented on your post.
If it gets super annoying I find distraction works best, running water and doing the dishes even though I have a dishwasher, going for a walk anything to get a break from it!
Then I can ignore as best you can with this crap condition. Watch hydration levels as when I've not drank enough water my T gets louder for some reason.
Also support Tinnitus Uk by sponsoring people when running marathons or any charity events, we NEED a cure!!
Sending hugs, your not alone!

Poor you OP. Mine has flared up recently, I've had it low level most of my adult life. I can understand how it makes someone feel very down and desperate. I hear a high pitched beep so a low humming white noise like a fan helps.

Have you had your B12 levels checked, tinnitus can be caused by low B12 damaging the nerves

I’ve had it for over a decade and most of the time I can ignore it but when my levels drop it’s really bad but improves after an injection
