A free trade agreement with NZ???

Could someone please clarify what that means? That we will ship things to NZ and they will ship things to us? A place that takes weeks for anything to get to? At a time when we're trying to minimise global travel and consumption? Or have I misunderstood? And doesn't NZ get a whole load of stuff imported from China anyway?

From the FT; this trade deal could boost the uk economy by 0.01% or it could reduce the uk economy by 0.01%.

But it does benefit NZ so yeah slow hand clap for our government.
