My kids party entertainer has cancelled

I was looking for a magician for my 4 yo b-day party and I got a few responses. One in particular was very keen. Called me several times, followed up by text and call and even though he was quite a bit more expensive than 2 others I decided to book him as he had amazing reviews and I liked the sound of him. All good, I made the party invitations which specified magic and sent them out.

2 days later he cancelled and I can't seem to be able to find a magician now. I'm furious! The party is on the 29th next week.

These things happen, especially at the moment. He may be isolating, it could be any number of personal reasons.
Why are you so angry? Get over it.
3/4/5 year olds really won't care. Try booking someone/something else or just give them music, balloons and a couple of party games. I'd be surprised if they'd all have sat still for a whole magic show at that age anyway.

@inappropriateraspberry maybe furious is a strong word, but I'm very disappointed. Of course, the kids will have fun but I'm very bad at entertaining. My husband is clumsy too. And I let everyone know it's a magic party.

Just upset that I had 2 other options, but this guy was so keen. Self isolating is not his reason for cancelling.

Explain to the parents that he's cancelled, but the party will still go ahead. No one will really be that bothered or upset about it!

Just have some magic themed decorations and food.

The 4 year olds won't expect anything particular.

Whereabouts are you? Perhaps ppl can recommend an entertainer? Most will include some magic in their act & can probably add in a 'magic' theme if you ask.

Or, if you do decide to do it yourselves, you can buy cheap magic tricks online. A colouring book, magic hand & broken wand are easy to use.

Bag. Not hand

Thank you, I've managed to find another entertainer who can do magic. It took me all day, but I'm at peace now. He seems alright and even cheaper.
