Go to the top of the class, homemade chicken stock with risotto and lots of parmesan, but DS decried it when he was very young as chicken juice with rice.

it was a light hearted comment re a fairly middle of the road dinner, a comment much used in our friendship group,boiled bones and stock bits then frozen, the children in friendship groups always called it chicken juice and rice.

Asparagus is out of season , so we will use frozen peas and lashing of parmesan served with a glass of white wine. Looking forward to it.

I wish I liked risotto. It always looks so yummy but I’m always disappointed 😢 I just gave up making it in the end.
