Unwanted theatre tickets

UnculturedVulture · 21/10/2021 17:13

Has anyone got any ideas of how to get rid of unwanted theatre tickets please? We can't go anymore.

The agency I bought them through don't offer refunds or exchanges or anything; no exceptions. I have asked them.

I don't want to sell them especially, but can't see the point in theatre seats sitting empty as it's such a waste.

I usually just ask my friends on fb if anyone wants them.

Pavlova31 · 21/10/2021 17:14

Viagogo

Either sell or giveaway on Facebook/Olio?
Anyone you could give to as a treat?

I'm not on Facebook, which is annoying at the moment as this is the one thing it would probably be really good for. Maybe I'll rejoin just for that.

I'll also check out Viagogo. Thanks

I've offered to a few friends but no dice.

Freecycle?

BrilliantBetty · 21/10/2021 17:20

Probably theatre related or local Facebook groups. If it's something highly in demand might be able to sell for near value otherwise I'd expect to only get a %

Moonshine86 · 21/10/2021 17:26

What’s it for?

AdelindSchade · 21/10/2021 17:29

I went to Les Mis once because MNetter posted on here as couldn't go but didn't want to waste. Posted me the tickets. It was very nice.

DogCatRabbit · 21/10/2021 17:31

Offer them to a local church or school to give to a parishioner or pupil who would appreciate them?

gwilt · 21/10/2021 17:31

Twickets is great!

I was thinking about this, but didn't know if it was allowed!

What show is it for?

Etinoxaurus · 21/10/2021 17:33

What show and when? Wink

UnculturedVulture · 21/10/2021 17:33

@Moonshine86

What’s it for?
It's for The Lion King at The Lyceum in London. Not the best seats, but I don't care about getting money for them.

Not sure how it would all work communicating to whoever I gave them to if it got cancelled or anything 🤔. There's a chance it might be I guess, with all the covid talk again!

I would love to take them off your hands OP, if you want to give them to someone (totally understand if you’d rather not hand them to a stranger though!)

AllWaxedOut · 21/10/2021 17:38

I would offer on a local Facebook page (or ask someone to do it for you) I'm sure they'll be snapped up.

UnculturedVulture · 21/10/2021 17:39

You're very welcome to them @MummyInTheNecropolis Smile

Will dm you

OP posts:
Moonshine86 · 21/10/2021 18:11

I’d happily purchase them if you have no takers x

Moonshine86 · 21/10/2021 18:11

Ahh shame sorry I have just seen your above post.

amarante · 21/10/2021 18:11

O am also interested if you happen to have more than two. I can pay for them.

UnculturedVulture · 21/10/2021 18:30

I have three! Sorry, should have said that.

If @MummyInTheNecropolis can't use them, I'll gladly send to someone else.

OP posts:
Moonshine86 · 21/10/2021 18:41

If the poster can’t use them could I buy the three please?

Moonshine86 · 21/10/2021 18:41

Would make a lovely birthday present for my daughter

toocold54 · 21/10/2021 18:44

Can you ask at work?
Usually when this happens someone sends an all staff email and there’s always lots of takers either from work colleagues or someone they know.
