What's with all the sex dreams?!

Hi,

I know there's a sex board, but there seems to be a disproportionate amount of men over there (wonder why...) and I can't imagine this will ofend anyone here (?)Anyway....

The past month or so I've been having recurring sex dreams and it's rarely with dp. I wake up feeling quite guilty actually, which I know is ridiculous, but still. They're always so intense and realistic and really stay with me throughout the day Blush . I sometimes just have sleep orgasms (a lot recently) which don't always seem to be connected to sex iyswim. I just wake up having them and they're sometimes so strong, it's almost uncomfortable.

What's going on with me?! I'm mid/late 30's and was considering another baby, so perhaps it's something to do with wanting to conceive in a sort of last chance saloon way 🤷‍♀️

I know this isn't uncommon, but it's not something I really want to talk to about in rl. Certainly not with dp, as I'm worried they'll be offended, because actually we're not having regular sex recently. Maybe once or twice a month, which I know isn't great.

Not sure why I'm posting. Guess I'd just like to speak to someone who understands or can relate.

TIA

Are you taking new medication, new birth control or pregnant?
I had the most vivid dreams while on malaria prophylaxis and my sex drive went up during part of my pregnancy.

Ncfortheobvious · 21/10/2021 12:52

@Lweji, no and definitely not pregnant. I don't feel like my sex drive is particularly high recently. In these dreams though, it's like I'm a different person.

I went through this phase at the same age as you, I think it was raging hormones and not enough sex to satisfy them. It's settled down a bit now which is great as I found it very distracting!

Ncfortheobvious · 21/10/2021 13:08

@wheresmyshoe, did you actually feel unsatisfied in reality or was it more a frustration from a subconscious level? I'm wondering if that's what's happening with me, because I don't really feel massively frustrated day to day, although I would prefer to be more intimate with dp.

Probably not related in the slightest but I only have sex dreams/orgasms if I need a wee in the night. A full bladder seems to trigger it.
Are you having any bladder issues at the moment?

SirenSays · 21/10/2021 13:48

Do you want to trade? I have almost sex dreams, we're so close to getting down and dirty but every flipping time something interrupts. A tiger in the building, zombie horde attacking, an annoying friend who won't leave us alone....

Ncfortheobvious · 21/10/2021 13:54

@ofwarren, I'm not having bladder problems, but that tends to happen in the morning, so probably would have a full bladder. Saying that though, this would always be the case and this is a fairly recent thing.

@SireSays, haha actually that used to be me too! This is definitely not a stealth boast Grin Once in a while I would be quite happy with, but this is pretty much every night/morning and it's messing with my head a little, which is ridiculous!!

I get loads when I am not getting it irl.

Ncfortheobvious · 21/10/2021 14:57

@BonnyEm, well you'd think that was the obvious answer, but then I heard that sex dreams rarely have anything to do with sex....if you believe in dream analysis.

Just enjoy it and try not to let it worry you.

It might well be hormonal. I definitely had a lot of strong sexual urges in my late 30s/early 40s.
