People watching by the pool in Cyprus. All the men wear trunks or shorts that appear to be far too small. Their big bellies hang over the front and you get a big flash of arse cleavage when they lean on the bar. They must buy these when they were young and just go on wearing them. Women of all shapes and sizes seem capable of wearing clothing that fits but not 90% of men. I don't care if its skimpy or huge it ot should vaguely fit .Rant over.

You are not wrong. When I worked in retail a vast majority of men would buy a 15.5” collar shirt, presumably because it was the size their mums told them when they bought their 1st suit. They’d then return them en masse.
