Ds and I are visiting Leeds uni shortly for an open day and I would love recommendations for places to eat before we get the train home at 730pm preferably fairly near the train station.
All suggestions welcome ( not too pricey!)

If you like Indian food, Bundobust is brilliant and very close to the train station. Some of the best food you can get in Leeds.

LeekChic · 20/10/2021 22:00

I was going to recommend Bundobust 😊

Rudy's also good if you like pizza.

OydNeverDeclinesGin · 20/10/2021 22:07

Rudys pizza is amazing, was also going to recommend Bundobust!!
If you like authentic Chinese food there's a place called Home up by the uni. There is also a place in Leeds center called Assembly underground that is a bar and has several eating choices within it, featival/food market style.
Belgrave at the top of town does pizzas, burgers, gigs and has a roof terrace. Its a strong student hangout so would give her an idea of student life in Leeds.

House of Fu on the headrow is great, definitely teen-friendly and only about 10 mins walk from the station

Aurorie11 · 20/10/2021 22:15

Da Vito Italian, about 5 minutes walk from the station, had great food there last week

Scarby9 · 20/10/2021 22:16

Browns is nice and relaxed, and hust up from the station.

Or just, even...

SirenSays · 21/10/2021 02:45

Do you like Thai food? Sukhothai is amazing, the restaurant is less than 10 mins from the station.

Flowerpowwer6 · 21/10/2021 03:02

Mowgli it's a street Indian on board Lane. Trinity kitchens will have some quirky places too OP.

Igmum · 21/10/2021 03:27

Might be a bit posh for dining out with your teenager but I love the Oxford Place https://www.theoxfordplace.co.uk/. Gluten free everything though you would never know it and on your walk from campus to the station (maybe go there to celebrate graduation Grin). Hope you have a great day

Any recommendations for breakfast places near station please?

BarbaraofSeville · 21/10/2021 07:04

As well as Bundobust, and Mowgli, there's also Tharavadu next to Bundobust, and Tapped (good pizza and craft beer) opposite Mowgli. I don't think they take bookings at Tapped, but all the others you probably want to book unless you're going midweek. You won't get in Mowgli on a Friday and Saturday as a walk in for example. Bundobust do have walk ins but it's hit and miss in my experience.

Another option that's not been mentioned, which could be a good lunch choice if you're around that way at lunchtime is the street food section of the Trinity centre - there's a rotating selection of vans where you can get really good quality street food from all over the world.
