LOUD shopping?!

Has anyone else come across this? Like loud parenting but a couple. I was in Aldi tonight and there was a couple literally vocalising every aspect of their shopping list. So, something like "Right, Jonathan, meat, we want chicken thighs don't we? Do you want to get that pack there. I'll look at the pizza! They've got spicy beef; shall we try spicy beef this week.." All in a very loud carrying voice. Jonathan was bit quieter but just as detailed.

Obviously if you shop with someone there's some discussion but it was just the combination of volume and detail over every single item. I had to whizz ahead and do the aisles in a random order as I couldn't concentrate on my own thoughts!

It makes the boring weekly shop a bit more interesting. Today I heard 'JUNE! There's no cauliflower cheese!' from the other end of Aldi.

I got stuck behind someone who did the entire Lidl shop on the phone to his wife/girlfriend, on speaker phone. He’d stop at each section, loudly describe what they had, then under her instruction proceed to molest the produce, poke the bread, or whatever the hell he was doing, before either putting it back or shoving it in his trolley. The reason I got stuck behind him was because he kept blocking the aisle with the trolley causing a bottleneck of people trying to get past him and his loud performance shopping. I got annoyed and ended up shoving his trolley out of the way since he’d ignored several people politely asking to get past, then sprinted round the rest of the shop so I didn’t get stuck behind him again.
