Any ideas what to do with a free week?

I’m changing job and have a full week between leaving the old one and starting the new one. DH has just reminded me he’s working away that week so it’s just me and DS (13) at home. What can I do to occupy myself? Most of my friends also work Monday to Friday and the ones that don’t, need to be around for the school/nursery run so aren’t able to go out for a full day. Am I going to spend my bonus week pottering round the house alone?

Ask a friend if they can have DS for a few days and go away..

I would find it very easy to fill a week! Maybe I'm easily occupied.

Swimming, cinema, gardening, cooking nice meals, reading, walking, going for a coffee or hot choc and croissant, browsing the charity shops, Xmas planning, watching films, pottering about tidying/decluttering, sleeping...

I could go on and on. I love pottering.

I'd be thrilled to have a 'free' week. Chill at home with movies and takeaways, meet friends. Relax!

The mumsnet obligatory Spa day.
