Does it need to be the hospital. I had mine whipped out at the dentist the other day in a same day appointment.

You can alternate with paracetamol and my dentist said I could try codeine too (I didn't need it). There are a few dental anaesthetic type things too like anbesol liquid and a medicated mouthwash will help keep it clear of debris.

I saw the dentist before and they said they can't take it out. It hasn't come through probably

I have a broken tooth and they keep delaying sedation; I went to the chemist and they were able to sell me Orajel, which is a local anaesthetic. You used to be able to get Dentagen which is clove and mint oil in a gel, but I haven't seen any that is in date.

Call your dentist. You might have an infection which will need antibiotics. In the meantime rinse your mouth with warm salt water and alternate cocodamol and ibuprofen.
