Because I've just bought a lamp that I'm very enamoured with. I needed a white light lamp for my sewing table, I didn't want to go for a full daylight one because they are very expensive, I just needed a little extra light because my overhead bulb is behind me so my body casts a shadow on my work. Then I was thinking about the warning that the electric grid will be near its limit this winter (Ireland) and I thought I might as well get a rechargeable one, just in case. So I got this. I'm really impressed with it, it's very well thought through with the magnetic attachment.
