Hello!
I live in the EU but am travelling back to the U.K. to visit family before Xmas.
I usually bring my children back some chocolates and sweets that we can't get here, and this time I've a new iPad to bring back.
I haven't flown since Brexit - any idea what I can bring in hand luggage? A small quantity of chocolates or should they go in my luggage in the hold?
I've been reading that you can't bring dairy into the EU from non EU countries - but is this a pint of milk and tub of butter rather than bars of chocolate? What if you buy chocolates in duty free - can you not take them to EU countries?
iPad I will carry in hand luggage - will I have to pay import tax on it if it's still in the wrapped box? Or should I unbox and put into a case so it doesn't look brand new?
Any info appreciated!
