For me it is
Babysham I dont know if I have spelt it right

Angel delight especially Butterscotch which I used to love as a kid.

Vienetta
Cinzano bianco Admittedly I've not had this since I was 14 and my an would let me drink it ( probably to wind my mum up)

Vol au vonts 🤮

KFC, so greasy and disgusting.

Phyllis321 · 19/10/2021 08:59

Loads of beloved foods taste like crap now Sad

MintyGreenDream · 19/10/2021 09:01

They better not mess with Hula Hoops or Mini Cheddars.Id be inconsolable

Onetraumaatatimeplease · 19/10/2021 10:16

Fry's Turkish delights. Used to take a good ten minutes to bite the chocolate off the jelly, it's now that thin that it's impossible. Also revels, I used to be able to tell the difference between them. Not anymore. Also Terry's, bring back pyramint you bastards.

Auntieobem · 19/10/2021 10:17

Tinned spaghetti
Heinz tomato soup
Coca cola
Rice Krispies

evilharpy · 19/10/2021 10:28

Arctic Roll. Absolutely pointless now.

CrumpleHornedSnowcack · 19/10/2021 10:30

canned macaroni cheese - used to absolutely love it

Gonnagetgoing · 19/10/2021 10:32

Most chocolate and sweet stuff. Cadburys has been ruined so I don't eat it but I did have 4 Crunchies from a packet in a row the other day and they were nice.

Blackmagicqueen · 19/10/2021 10:38

Following on from Cadburys, looking on the information on the wrappers a small amount is still made with fresh milk. I think it is buttons, some their plain/wholenut/fruit&nut bars etc. I find if it has fresh milk in it is nicer and i can eat it but the rest is disgusting. Anyway just something to look out for.

Blackmagicqueen · 19/10/2021 10:39

some of*

TroysMammy · 19/10/2021 13:13

I gave my niece a Fray Bentos pie, Smash and tinned peas to show her what I had to eat at her age. She told me "don't make that again please Auntie" and would tell anyone who listened of the horrible food I made her eat. She quit enjoyed the Angel Delight though.

I don't normally make her eat shit food, I just thought that would be a laugh.

Manzana · 19/10/2021 13:47

Maltesers, no flavour at all, and certainly not malty, even the chocolate is tasteless. Ribena , probably because of the sweeteners. Crispy pancakes, used to love the cheesy ones, not so much now.

junglejane66 · 19/10/2021 14:08

Vesta curry

Siriisatwat · 19/10/2021 14:56

Findus crispy pancakes.

I had one a few months ago for the first time in years and years.

Oh my christ they are now vile. Probably had all the fat taken out and a load of fake sugars stuck in, like everything else these days.

DedalusBloom · 19/10/2021 15:09

You're probably all right about Vienetta but it's not going to stop me giving this one a try...

What things from your past arent as nice as you'd remembered
DampSquidGames · 19/10/2021 15:13

That one may be ok, it’s the white ice cream that doesn’t seem to taste of anything nowadays.

Siriisatwat · 19/10/2021 15:17

A viennetta is one serving though. I mean it is. I’m not just a massive pig.

A quick google just told me it was to serve 7.

Fuck off.

BertieBotts · 19/10/2021 15:18

@Laiste

Oh - Calpol.

My older 3 used to be fine with a dose of calpol.

Big gap and then little no.4 is gagging at it. I taste it. It's now low sugar! Hmm

I mean who eats enough Calpol to warrant a more healthy recipe??

You can still buy the full sugar stuff, it has the same grittiness I remember from childhood!

DS1 hated it and then I had a big gap and DS2 loves it even though I think he has the sugar free version.

Firesidefox · 19/10/2021 15:35

Agree with all of these, particularly the PP saying M&S food. It used to be DELICIOUS and now it just isn't. Also the shop seems obsessed by making ultra processed WEIRD gimmicky shite, eg the below.

Vienetta is still lovely, you’re all mad.

Crème eggs are not though. And even big Easter eggs of any variety. Sad

Beseen22 · 19/10/2021 15:54

My mum used to make vol au vents for visitors, she bought the premises pastry case and chicken in a tin with white sauce. I used to eat 10 of them no problem. Bought a tin after a pregnancy craving and almost vomited. Why would anyone buy chicken in a white sauce in a tin out of choice??Envy

Swingoutsistersledge2 · 19/10/2021 16:15

Baby food in the jars . I Remember the Beef dinner and Chocolate and Banana pudding used to taste great whilst testing for DC. I was looking after my niece giving her a jar of baby food as we were on the go and it was just tasteless . Obviously they have taken out sugar and salt for health reasons which I fully understand but I was a bit disappointed!

Blackmagicqueen · 19/10/2021 16:27

@DedalusBloom oh yum, I'm going to give that one a try too. I remember a after eight mint chocolate one that used to be fairly decent but i think they discontinued it.
