Recommendations for family cars

We are now a family of 3 so need a car that will fit 3 children (2 in car seats) comfortably in the back and enough boot space to fit in all our stuff when we go on holiday.

Priorities are that it is safe and reliable.

Any suggestions? We don’t have a strict budget as such but looking around to see what we can get in the lower end of the price range of those type of cars.

Skoda kodiaq

Certainly a Kodiaq, or a Karoq if you want something more compact, but with three seats in the back and a large boot.

Any idea if the karoq would easily fit 2 car seats and a regular sized person in the back?

A kodiaq can fit two high back boosters and probably a teenager. As a full grown adult I struggle to squeeze in

Might not be the car for us then! It would be good to be able fit me in the middle- I’m not huge but bigger than your average teen.

Kodiaq has seven seats so is worth a look. I have one and love it but I only have 2 DC.

Ford S-Max, VW Touran, Peugeot 5008, Volvo XC90, Seat Alhambra are all worth a look I would say.

Yeah the kodiaq is a 7 seater so if you have one not in a car seat they can sit in the boot seats

We have just bought a SEAT Tarraco which is a Kodiaq with a SEAT badge, it is a great car. We finally have a car that fits two babies, two adults, a double buggy and a spaniel in comfortably.

Volvo XC90.

You can fit a body (or two) in the boot, plus a dresser and a bike.
