Anybody's veterinary visits gone back to face to face?

I was just wondering if any vets surgeries had returned to face to face during consultations or whether they're still handing over at the door.

Face to face, and they're still split into two teams who never cross over so if one goes down sick. It doesn't affect the other team
One person per pet, unless being put to sleep and then two people in
Masks have to be worn

One person allowed in consultation room, masks requested. Not sure about the waiting room, I was the only person there when I went (it's a small satellite surgery with only one consultation room, they use it for jabs, check-ups etc and book more serious cases to their larger main surgery).

Yes ours have.

BrilloPaddy · 18/10/2021 10:22

With ours, you have to wait outside until the vet comes out, then you can go inside with them or have your consultation in the car park.

WeAreTheHeroes · 18/10/2021 10:22

Yes, waiting room not operating you call on arrival and they ring you back when it's time for you to go in. I prefer this as it's much quicker than usual!

Mantlemoose · 18/10/2021 10:23

No, nor have they restarted 6 monthly check ups even though they've paid for in pet plan. Disgusted with them more than doctors!

XenoBitch · 18/10/2021 10:25

Mine has been face to face for a while, but only one person can go in with your pet.

liveforsummer · 18/10/2021 10:31

Ours have been face to face handover and chat in the waiting room but pet taken alone in to the treatment room. This has been the case for nearly a year now though. The only time I had to actually had over outside was during the first lockdown

bestcattoyintheworld · 18/10/2021 10:55

Seems many are back to face to face then. Our vets have cleared all chairs out of the waiting room and taken their point of sale displays away too, so perhaps they'll never go back to face to face.

Ours has been face to face for a while. You have to wear a mask and only one person in the consulting room.

BikeRunSki · 18/10/2021 11:05

Yes

My cat had been about 4 times in the last couple of months, f2f in the surgery each time.

BikeRunSki · 18/10/2021 11:11

Sorry, my previous post should read “My cat has…”. She is still alive!

MrsKeats · 18/10/2021 11:37

Yes for ages.

PieonaBarm · 18/10/2021 13:08

No, and it drives me mad. Still ring when you get there, handover on the car park, whilst wearing a mask. I can have beauty treatments actually on my face, but I can't go into the vets with my elderly and poorly dog.

NotanotherboxofFrogs · 19/10/2021 19:54

My two cats were in last week for booster jabs.

Ring when get there, max 3 people in the waiting room / reception area.

One person only to accompany the pet, needs to be masked. Screens in the reception area.

Our vets, until recently, wouldn't allow us into the building and did a basic consultation on the pavement outside ( as has been usual for a while now) and if the vet needed to perform ant test etc.. would take our dog inside while we stood outside.

We've not been happy with these vets for a while so we switched to a different one which allows you to wait inside and also into to consulting room.

Hand over in car park, pay through the window.
