Christmas trip ideas

Without too many details, this is likely to be my last Christmas.

We have two children. 6 and 11. We were lucky enough to go to Lapland as a bucket list item in 2019. I will be able to travel (dependant on covid).

Please hit me with some amazing ideas for up to three nights, want some seriously good memories for my babies . Christmas Day will be at home with wider family.

Thanks all.

Bedruthan Steps Hotel in Cornwall is very relaxing with amazing views and they are doing special Christmas things before and after Christmas.

My first thought was efteling.
I think it's a very very special place (I have been to Disney Paris) I think it would be a special place for the family to keep nice memories going.
It's fairly easy to get too, very very smooth and easy once there, relaxed, utterly enchanting (no pretend fibre glass) the enchanted story book wood is amazing, you could spend hours in it wandering around it's a real wood.
There are enough "gentle" rides for everyone, droomflucht is beautiful, (dream flight), lots it really tasty places to eat. And many play areas. I would stay in the wooded village called Bosrijk with the small pool as its closest to the park (ten min walk if that) along a beautifully natural lake with the sandman castle in the middle and the shop and restaurants.

Centrally located hotel room there is a sort of two room set up, main living area and bed for adults and a separate room for children. There will be night caps, a small game and book for yiu on arrival.

As an adult it's one of the most enjoyable places I've ever been too and tapped me back into my sense of childhood.
I have to thank mumsnet for recommending it to me.
I can't think of of a more perfect place for everyone at this time in the Europe area.
We usually drive and get the ferry or tunnel, spend a night in bruges there and back.

(Xmas efteling is also a gorgeous) I went two years ago and they had singers doing various stuff around fires (I am not sure if they have changed the fire pits now) eg some soul singers doing stevie wonder type stuff motown.. Others doing traditional Dutch stuff...

A huge ice rink.. Queen of fire and King of ice... And other stuff.
