Cant decide whether to go with head or heart with this one...

Need to buy a new tablet/lightweight laptop to replace my broken Microsoft surface, but cant deicde whether to replace with another surface or get a laptop.

I love the functionality of the surface, the touchscreen tablet style but with the functionality of a laptop. But as ive learned, the touchscreen makes them more breakable (dropped it and the screen smashed, along with damage to the corner, making it unrepairable)

Other option is to buy a lightweight laptop of equivelant value (around £400 max)

Logically i think the laptop is the obvious choice, will be able to get a lot more for my money, but my heart wants another surface...

Other option could be to buy a cheap tablet for around £100 to use for the touchscreen things i used the surface for, and then a laptop for around £300 for the more conventional laptop things like web browsing, excel/word etc.

If it were your choice what would you go for...

Option 1 - buy another surface

Option 2 - buy a laptop around £400

Option 3 - buy a £100 tablet and a £300 laptop

First world problems I know, but i need some help making the choice!!

I think I’d go for option 1 with a protective cover. If you love it you love it (but then I always go with my heart when it comes to this kind of thing)!
